Jingguangfu House, Country-level monument in Beipu, Hsinchu County, Taiwan
This traditional residence displays Qing Dynasty architecture with wooden construction, intricate window lattices, and interior courtyards that represent 19th-century Taiwanese building methods and design principles.
The house was established around 1835 during the Qing Dynasty as headquarters for a joint land development company formed by groups from Fujian and Guangdong provinces.
The name combines characters from both participating regions, with elements representing Fujian and Guangdong, symbolizing cooperation between different Chinese provincial groups in Taiwan's agricultural expansion.
The site is open to visitors Tuesday through Sunday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and is located on Zhongzheng Road in Beipu Village.
This monument served dual purposes as both a residential compound and a business center managing land reclamation and agricultural development activities during Taiwan's frontier settlement period.
