Nehrovec

The 1,707-meter Nehrovec peak stands within the Gorgany mountain range, featuring steep slopes covered with dense forests and alpine meadows.

During the 20th century, the Nehrovec area served as a passage between different regions, connecting local communities through established mountain paths.

The mountain holds importance for the Hutsul people who maintain traditional grazing practices on its slopes during the summer months.

Visitors need sturdy hiking boots and warm clothing throughout the year, as temperatures at the summit remain considerably lower than valley areas.

The mountain contains rare geological formations of sandstone blocks, which local residents refer to as stone rivers.
