Museum Altes Dorf

The Museum Altes Dorf presents traditional Ukrainian village life through authentic wooden structures and buildings spread across its territory.

The museum opened its doors in June 2007 to protect and display the architectural heritage of Ukrainian rural communities from the 16th to 20th centuries.

The museum collection includes three hundred architectural monuments that demonstrate construction techniques and living conditions of different Ukrainian regions.

Visitors can explore the museum daily from 9:00 to 18:00 and participate in guided tours that explain the functions of each building and structure.

The museum layout recreates a complete village setting where each building maintains its original purpose and arrangement within the community structure.
