Bridgestone Arena, Indoor sports arena in Nashville, United States.
Bridgestone Arena is a covered events hall in Nashville that spreads over several floors and can hold more than 19,000 people for concerts. The central section consists of a large indoor space with rising rows of seats surrounding a playing floor or stage.
The hall opened its doors in December 1996 and was designed by an American architecture firm known for its sports venues. Over the following years the building changed sponsors several times and received its current name in 2010.
The building carries the name of a Japanese tire manufacturer that secured the naming rights. In the lower seating tiers you can watch sports fans cheering along with their hockey team or concertgoers arriving for major music shows.
The main entrance is on Fifth Avenue South, where the ticket office is also located. Parking is available in several nearby garages and the hall is within walking distance from the downtown area.
The Predators hockey team plays its home games here, making Tennessee one of the southernmost states with professional ice hockey. Outside the season the ice is removed and the playing surface is converted for concerts and other performances.
