Skatopia is an 88-acre facility in Ohio with numerous skateboarding ramps and bowls designed for different riding styles. The grounds feature well-known spots including the 13-foot Epcot Bean Bowl, Lula Bowl, and Hidden Pool.
Professional skater Bruce Martin founded Skatopia in 1995 after purchasing land in Meigs County. This project created a permanent home for skateboarding enthusiasts from around the world.
The Skateboard Museum inside preserves thousands of objects documenting how skateboarding evolved over the decades. The collection shows important moments and equipment that matter to skaters from different generations.
The facility is free to visit and requires no entry fee for skating. Visitors should bring their own skateboarding equipment and plan to bring camping gear if staying for extended periods.
The site hosts annual events like Bowl Bash and Backwoods Blowout featuring live music and skateboarding competitions. These gatherings draw skaters and music fans and define the character of the place.
