Sekhukhune District Municipality

Sekhukhune District Municipality spans 13,528 square kilometers across northeastern Limpopo province, encompassing four local municipalities with Groblersdal as its administrative capital point.

The district, established on December 5, 2000, derives its name from Pedi King Sekhukhune, who assumed leadership of the region around 1860 following King Sekwati.
