Kallbrunnalm

Kallbrunnalm is a mountain pasture in the Salzburg Saalachtal region, where open meadows sit between forests and mountain slopes. The terrain shows typical Alpine grassland with patches of trees and a gradual rise toward higher peaks.

Visitors should start from the parking area near Pürzelbach hamlet and follow established trails suitable for hiking and cycling. The path is marked for regular foot and bicycle traffic, so orientation is straightforward.

During summer months, cattle graze freely across the pasture alongside wild Alpine plant species that thrive in these high-altitude meadows. This working landscape shows how livestock and native plants coexist in the mountain environment.
