Brandhorn

The Brandhorn summit rises 2,610 meters above sea level in the Steinernes Meer range, marking a natural border between different sections of the Alps.

Early mountaineers established multiple routes to reach Brandhorn's peak during the 19th century, creating a network of paths still used by climbers today.

The mountain stands as part of the European long-distance path E4, connecting local communities through traditional alpine hiking traditions and regional outdoor activities.

Climbers can access the summit through three main routes, with the path from Riemannhaus to Matrashaus requiring between 10 to 12 hours of hiking time.

The mountain ranks as the third highest peak in the Steinernes Meer, following Selbhorn and Schönfeldspitze, with an isolation distance of 2.7 kilometers.
