Wildalmkirchl

Located on the southern edge of the Steinernes Meer, Wildalmkirchl rises to an elevation of 2,578 meters with limestone formations at its peak.

The name originated from Wildalm, referring to a northern remote high valley, combined with kirchl due to the mountain's church-like appearance.

Local mountaineers established multiple climbing routes to reach the summit, with the northeastern path becoming the standard approach for experienced climbers.

The Wildalmkirchl bothy, situated at 2,457 meters northeast of the summit, provides shelter with eight sleeping spots for mountain expeditions.

The mountain requires technical climbing skills to reach its top, with the route traversing the exposed Kirchdachgrat arête leading to the final summit block.
