Chittagong Polytechnic Institute

Chittagong Polytechnic Institute is a technical education facility in Nasirabad dedicated to engineering and technical programs for students across Bangladesh. The campus houses specialized laboratories, workshops, and classrooms where practical skills are developed alongside classroom learning.

The institute was founded in 1962 and has developed into the second largest polytechnic institution in Bangladesh. Over the decades it has trained thousands of technical professionals who work across various industrial sectors.

Five male dormitories and one female dormitory accommodate students from different regions of Bangladesh, creating a diverse educational community.

The campus can be visited during academic hours, though prior permission may be needed for outsiders to access certain areas. Visitors are advised to ask for guidance at the main entrance to locate specific departments or facilities of interest.

The institute maintains seven specialized technology departments and provides government scholarships to 65 percent of its 3,000 enrolled students.
