Tsarska Bistritsa, Royal palace in Rila Mountains, Bulgaria.
The palace stands above Borovets resort near the Bistritsa River, incorporating Bulgarian Revival architecture with European romantic influences in its design.
Construction of Tsarska Bistritsa occurred between 1898 and 1914 under King Ferdinand I, serving as a royal hunting residence until nationalization in 1945.
The interior features traditional Bulgarian craftsmanship with carved wooden columns, handwoven rugs from Kotel and Chiprovtsi, and decorative ceramic stoves.
The palace maintains an operational Siemens hydroelectric generator from 1912, which continues to supply power to the building through modern electric radiators.
A preserved ship cabin from the vessel New America resides within the palace walls, obtained through interactions between King Ferdinand and the ship's captain.
