Montcada i Reixac

Montcada i Reixac extends over 23.5 square kilometers at the meeting point of Ripoll River and Besós River, maintaining an elevation of 36 meters.

The settlement transformed from an agricultural community into an industrial center in 1917 with the establishment of Cement Factory Asland and Ford Motor Ibérica.

The Archaeological site Las Malezas contains remnants of Iberian settlements, providing evidence of early inhabitants in the Vallès Occidental region.

The municipality connects to Barcelona through six Renfe Rodalies stations and the terminus of Metro line 11 at Can Cuiàs neighborhood.

The municipal flag, approved in 1995, displays red stripes with yellow discs, while the coat of arms features eight gold bezants on red background.
