The one-kilometer stretch of golden sand at La Tejita forms the largest natural beach in Tenerife, bordered by Montaña Roja Nature Reserve.
This natural beach has maintained its original landscape over centuries, resisting commercial developments while preserving the connection to traditional fishing communities.
The eastern section of La Tejita functions as a designated naturist area, where visitors practice clothing-optional bathing near Montaña Roja.
Visitors can access La Tejita by taking bus line 473 from Santa Cruz or driving to the parking areas located at both ends of the beach.
The beach presents a combination of light-colored sand, different from the typical dark volcanic beaches found across Tenerife.
