Hermandad Caridad y Salud, Catholic confraternity in Jaén, Spain
Hermandad Caridad y Salud is a Catholic confraternity in Jaén devoted to religious traditions centered on Jesus before Caiaphas and Mary of Health. The community is based at Santa María Madre de la Iglesia parish and holds religious services and member gatherings throughout the year.
The confraternity was founded in 2008 at San Eufrasio parish and received official recognition from the Diocese of Jaén in 2012. This approval confirmed the community met all canonical requirements.
Members wear traditional penitential garments during their processions and move through Jaén streets in prayer. This is viewed by neighbors and visitors as an important part of the city's religious life.
The confraternity is based at Santa María Madre de la Iglesia parish, where religious events take place throughout the year. The best time to visit is during Holy Week, especially on Monday, when larger processions occur.
The confraternity's main procession features a sculpture group depicting Jesus before Caiaphas created by Seville artist Miguel Cordero Romero. This artwork was completed in 2016 specifically for the brotherhood's processions.
