Miranda Castle, Medieval fortification on Picota hill in Miranda de Ebro, Spain
Miranda Castle is a medieval fortification located on Picota hill in Miranda de Ebro, featuring a trapezoidal structure with multiple vertices. Positioned about 500 meters above sea level, it commands views of the surrounding mountains and the city below.
Construction began in 1449 under Pedro Sarmiento and was completed in 1485 by stonecutter Juan Guas following a request from Tello of Castile. In 1903, the city council dismantled sections and reused the stones for other buildings, including a former bullring.

The north wall remains visible between battery installations, while other sections including an east-west wall and circular tower are covered by vegetation. Visitors should expect uneven terrain and partially exposed structures.
