Palacio del Cordón

The palace exhibits a stone façade adorned with a Franciscan cord motif carved above the main entrance, featuring coats of arms and zoomorphic gargoyles.

Dating from the late 15th or early 16th century, this civil architecture building stands within the third walled enclosure of medieval Zamora called Puebla del Valle.

The structure houses the Museum of Zamora, displaying archaeological collections and artworks from regional monasteries that represent different periods of local history.

Visitors can access the palace museum from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 and 14:00, and again from 16:00 to 19:00, with guided tours available.

The corner window of the building combines with original masonry marks and decorative scallop shells along the cornice, creating distinct architectural elements.
