Málaga's Museum of Airports and Air Travel
Málaga's Museum of Airports and Air Travel, Aviation museum in Málaga, Spain.
The Museo Nacional de Aeropuertos y Transporte Aéreo displays vintage aircraft, historical documents, and interactive exhibits across three connected buildings near Málaga Airport.
The museum opened in 2009 inside the original terminal building that served Málaga Airport from 1948 to 1968, designed by architect Luis Gutiérrez Soto.
Exhibits present the evolution of Spanish aviation through uniforms, tickets, weighing machines, and photographs showing the changes in air travel customs.
The museum opens Tuesday from 10:00 to 20:00 and Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 to 14:00, with guided tours available upon request.
Visitors can enter a preserved control tower, examine a Rolls Royce Trent 900 engine from an Airbus 380, and operate a Boeing 737 flight simulator.
