Pont del Regne de València, Modern bridge in Valencia, Spain
The Pont del Regne de València extends across the Turia Gardens, connecting Reino de Valencia Avenue with Francia Avenue through a 220-meter structure.
The bridge, designed by engineer Salvador Monleón Cremades, opened in December 1999 under the administration of Mayor Rita Barberá.
Four monumental bronze sculptures positioned at the entrances of the bridge serve as symbolic guardians watching over the passage.
The bridge functions as a primary transportation route, accommodating both vehicle and pedestrian traffic between two major areas of Valencia.
The structure spans over the former Turia riverbed, which now contains an extensive linear park filled with recreational and cultural facilities.
