The Gran Vía 32 Building occupies the largest block on Gran Vía street, featuring an octagonal central courtyard and an imperial staircase within its structure.
Construction began in 1921 under architect Teodoro de Anasagasti, and Kings Victoria Eugenia and Alfonso XIII inaugurated the building in January 1924.
The structure initially housed Madrid's first major department store, Madrid-París, representing the modernization of Spanish retail in the early 20th century.
The building currently houses Primark's flagship store in Spain, offering multiple floors of retail space in the center of Madrid's shopping district.
The 1956 renovation added a phoenix sculpture to the roof, replacing the original side domes while maintaining the building's architectural integrity.
