Patalavaca Beach stretches along the Gran Canaria coastline for roughly 300 meters with olive-toned sand and moderate waves suitable for swimming. The shore spans about 50 meters wide and is edged with restaurants and bars that define its character as an urban beach.

Patalavaca lies on the south-western coast of Gran Canaria, in the municipality of Mogán, about 1,800 km south-west of Madrid. The beach is set in the Canary Islands' arid coastal climate, with average temperatures around 23 °C and July highs near 28 °C. Its olive-toned sand and moderate waves shaped its use as an urban beach beside the resort of Patalavaca.

Patalavaca's name is commonly linked to the Guanche words for "plain" and "cow", a reference to the pastureland above the cove before tourism arrived. The beach sits in the municipality of Mogán, on Gran Canaria's south-west coast, and its calm water and olive sand draw families from the nearby apartments rather than day-trippers alone.

Visitors will find footwash stations, waste bins, and bars spread along the shoreline for comfortable beach time. Access is straightforward, and the area remains open year-round with quieter conditions outside peak season.

The beach lies in the province of Las Palmas, in the Canary Islands, about 1,800 km southwest of Madrid. Average temperatures range from 18 °C in January to 28 °C in July, and annual rainfall is only around 188 mm, mostly falling in November and December.
