Anfi Del Mar Beach

The beach stretches for 180 meters along the coast, featuring imported Bahamian white sand and clear waters protected by a natural lagoon formation.

Norwegian developer Bjørn Lyng initiated the transformation of this coastline in 1992, importing 11,000 tons of Caribbean sand to create this beach destination.

The beach name evolved from Playa de la Verga to Anfi del Mar, reflecting the development of Gran Canaria's southern coastal tourism infrastructure.

Visitors access the beach through elevators from hilltop parking areas, finding amenities including showers, restrooms, sun loungers, and water sport equipment rentals.

An artificial heart-shaped island connects to the beach area, creating a sheltered swimming environment alongside a modern yacht harbor.
