La Cera

La Cera is a clothing-optional beach with white sand along the southern coast of Lanzarote, stretching about 157 meters. The water offers clear views toward the neighboring island of Fuerteventura and is framed by volcanic cliffs.

The beach sits within Los Ajaches Natural Park, established to protect geological formations shaped by ancient volcanic activity. The volcanic landscape has defined this southern region of Lanzarote for thousands of years.

Reaching the beach requires about a 15-minute walk from the nearest parking area, so comfortable shoes are useful for the approach. Access is straightforward, but it is wise to bring water and sun protection since shade is limited.

At low tide, visitors can walk between this beach and nearby shores through a network of small coves carved by volcanic cliffs. These temporary paths emerge due to tidal movement and offer an unexpected way to explore the coastal terrain.
