Edificio Lamarca Hermanos, Madrid, Mixed-use building in Centro district, Madrid, Spain
The Edificio Lamarca Hermanos features neoclassical design with two floors crowned by corner towers and a large commercial sign on its facade.
Built in 1902 by architect Santiago Castellanos, the building originally served as a workshop for the Lamarca brothers' carriage manufacturing company, established in 1840.
The structure represents the industrial heritage of Madrid, as one of the few remaining examples of 19th-century workshop buildings in the city center.
Located at the intersection of Fernando VI Street, the building stands near multiple public transportation options and numerous commercial establishments.
The building's original workshops produced carriages for the Spanish royal family, including special congress carriages with parts imported from France in 1849.
