Cerro del Bu, Archaeological site in Toledo, Spain
Cerro del Bu stands on a promontory next to the Tagus River, with visible stone foundations marking ancient settlement patterns across its surface.
Archaeological excavations since 1980 have revealed multiple occupation phases, from early flint-working communities through the Bronze Age to medieval Arab settlements.
The site demonstrates the evolution of pastoral economies during the Bronze Age, when inhabitants focused on raising cattle and sheep in the region.
Visitors can access the archaeological zone by following designated paths that lead to the hilltop location overlooking the Tagus River valley.
The remains of wall structures at the summit reveal evidence of deliberate destruction rather than fire damage during the Arab period occupation.
