Alamökki

Alamökki is a stainless steel sculpture positioned in front of Ylöjärvi City Hall, distinguished by its curved form. It rests on a gray granite base and displays details that resemble the wall structure of a simple countryside hut.

The sculpture was unveiled in 2018 and commemorates the first recording location of a Finnish rock band housed in a small hut in Ylöjärvi. The artwork connects the shining modernity of its material with a chapter of local music history.

The sculpture stands in front of Ylöjärvi City Hall and honors the town's connection to Finnish rock music. Visitors can see the shining stainless steel form that echoes the rustic wall of a small hut where an important band once made its first recordings.

The artwork is freely accessible throughout the year and can be visited without any admission requirements. The location sits centrally in front of City Hall, making it easy to explore alongside other municipal attractions.

At the opening celebration, the honored band performed on the roof of a building next to City Hall while free bus rides were provided for visitors. This festive event blended the art installation with live music in an unconventional way.
