The Petit-Ménec alignment features 101 menhirs arranged in seven distinct rows that extend in an eastward direction across the landscape.
The French state acquired the site in 1886 and subsequently restored 56 fallen menhirs to their original upright positions within the alignment.
The arrangement of stones at Petit-Ménec represents prehistoric engineering methods and may have served astronomical or ceremonial functions.
Visitors can reach the stone alignment through a designated footpath leading from the eastern parking area to explore the megalithic formations.
The stone rows form part of the extensive Carnac megalithic complex, connecting to other alignments from Erdeven to the river at Crac'h.
