Romanée-Saint-Vivant

Romanée-Saint-Vivant is a Grand Cru vineyard in the Côte de Nuits region, spanning roughly 9 hectares of clay and limestone soil. These soils produce complex Pinot Noir wines with considerable aging potential that reflect the essence of Burgundy winemaking.

The vineyard takes its name from the Abbey of Saint Vivant, which owned and cultivated several vineyards in Vosne-Romanée during medieval times. These lands passed into private hands during the French Revolution, reshaping ownership patterns that persist today.

The name reflects the Abbey of Saint Vivant, whose religious heritage remains woven into the vineyard's identity and local storytelling. Multiple producers work these slopes today, each bringing their own approach to winemaking while respecting the shared traditions of the place.
