The Dragon Fountain displays a central sculpture depicting Apollo killing the serpent Python, surrounded by marine creatures and water jets reaching 27 meters high.
Created in 1668 by sculptors Gaspard and Balthazard Marsy, the Dragon Fountain formed part of Louis XIV's grand vision for the Gardens of Versailles.
