Campus de Saint-Serge, University campus in Angers, France
The Saint-Serge campus is a university facility in Angers that houses the law, economics, and tourism faculties of the University of Angers across approximately 10 hectares. The site includes teaching buildings, an international residence for researchers and students, and a dining hall called La Gabare.
The site opened in 1996 as part of the University of Angers' expansion strategy. This development allowed the university to grow its academic presence and consolidate several programs in a new dedicated space.
The campus hosts the Confucius Institute of Pays de la Loire, which runs Chinese language classes and cultural exchange activities for students and the broader community. This presence shapes daily campus life with diverse international connections.
Two tram stations on Line A, called Saint-Serge University and Berges de Maine, serve the campus and connect it well to the city. The site is spread out, so plan for walking time when moving between different buildings and facilities.
The campus houses an international residence open to researchers and students from around the world, fostering genuine exchange and collaboration. This accommodation brings a cosmopolitan character to daily campus life that sets it apart from many other French universities.
