Built between the 14th and 16th centuries, this church replaced a chapel from 1102 constructed by Saint Alethe of Montbard, mother of Saint Bernard.

The building received monument historique status in 1945, ensuring its preservation and maintenance as part of French cultural heritage.
The Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter served this parish for twenty-four years until summer 2021, maintaining traditional religious practices.
