Lunas hotel

Lunas hotel is a private mansion in the historical center with three floors arranged in a C-shaped layout. It features a grand marble staircase and two central salons with 18th-century decorative ornaments.

The residence was built in 1550 under architect Giral's design. After Henri de Bosc acquired it in 1707, it became a meeting place for the States of Languedoc and served this purpose until 1737.

The interior rooms blend Renaissance and Rococo styles, with lacquer panels rearranged during 19th-century renovations. These decorative choices show how different eras left their mark on the same space, creating layers of artistic taste.

The mansion is located on Rue de la Valfère in the heart of the old town and is easily accessible on foot. Since it is a protected historical monument, visiting conditions should be confirmed in advance.

Two of the central salons retain their original 18th-century decorations despite numerous renovations across the centuries. These authentic rooms show how carefully preservationists maintained the original splendor over time.
