Svenska Skolan Paris, Swedish international school in 17th arrondissement, Paris, France
Svenska Skolan Paris is an international school in the 17th arrondissement serving students from preschool through high school. Classrooms are small and intimate, with roughly 10 to 20 pupils per year.
This school was founded in 1878 and remains the oldest Swedish school outside Sweden. It relocated to its current location on rue Médéric in the early 1900s.
The school celebrates Swedish traditions and holidays throughout the year. Students experience their cultural identity while being part of a French city.
Classes are held at two locations: younger students study near the Swedish Church building, while older students attend classes at Saint Dominique. The school provides meals and learning materials as part of its complete program.
The school publishes a student newspaper called La Baguette, where young writers share articles about Paris life. This publication connects writing with discovering the city and has become a valued activity for many learners.
