Lake Vrana

Lake Vrana extends over 30 square kilometers, making it the largest natural freshwater lake in Croatia, stretching parallel to the Adriatic coast for 13.6 kilometers.

The local community maintains traditional fishing practices in Lake Vrana, combining freshwater and marine fishing techniques passed down through generations.

Visitors can access multiple educational trails, observation points, and information centers throughout the park, with entrance fees supporting conservation efforts.

The lake provides shelter to 260 bird species, representing 60 percent of Croatia's total bird population, with over 100,000 waterfowl wintering in its waters.
