Urania Cinema, Art Nouveau movie theater in Osijek, Croatia
Urania Cinema features detailed ornamentation throughout its exterior facade and houses a single hall with 253 seats for film screenings and cultural events.
The building, designed by architect Viktor Axmann, opened its doors in 1912 and continues to operate as one of the oldest cinemas in eastern Croatia.
The cinema participates in the Europa Cinemas network, presenting European films and organizing festivals that promote cultural diversity through visual arts.
Located at Šetalište kardinala Franje Šepera 8, the cinema offers regular screenings with modern digital projection equipment and reduced prices for students.
The structure stands as a protected cultural monument in the Register of Cultural Goods of Croatia, maintaining its original Art Nouveau elements.
