Tomb of Baba Sali

The tomb features marble walls, ornate decorations, and a central chamber containing the burial site of Rabbi Yisrael Abuhatzeira, known as Baba Sali.

Rabbi Yisrael Abuhatzeira, born in Morocco in 1889, moved to Israel in 1970 and passed away in 1984, leading to the construction of this mausoleum.

The mausoleum serves as a central gathering place for Jewish communities, where visitors engage in traditional prayers, light candles, and leave written prayer notes.

The tomb receives visitors throughout the year, with increased attendance during the anniversary of Baba Sali's death on the 4th of Shevat in the Hebrew calendar.

Many visitors to the mausoleum participate in specific rituals, including drinking water blessed at the site and requesting personal interventions through prayer.
