The Museum of Philistine Culture features permanent exhibitions displaying artifacts, tools, pottery, and decorative items that belonged to the ancient Philistine civilization.
The museum, which opened in 1990, stands as the first cultural institution in Ashdod dedicated to preserving the heritage of the Philistines from the 12th century BC.
Interactive exhibitions allow visitors to experience Philistine traditions through costume wearing, food tasting, and explorations of reconstructed ancient domestic spaces.
The facility operates Sunday through Thursday from 9:00 to 16:00, with extended hours until 20:00 on Mondays, and shorter hours from 10:30 to 13:30 on weekends.
The museum maintains the largest collection of Philistine archaeological findings in the world, including the two-horned altar discovered at Tel Tzafit excavation site.
