Lakhish Park

Lakhish Park is an urban park in Ashdod that extends along the Lakhish River all the way to where it meets the Mediterranean Sea. The area includes walking paths throughout, open green spaces, and recreational facilities for various activities.

The park was created in 1996 as part of a project to transform the river area into accessible public space for recreation. This development changed how the city integrated its waterway with everyday community life.

The park serves as a social hub where families gather regularly, with open spaces hosting outdoor concerts and local celebrations that bring the community together. People use it as their everyday meeting place throughout the year.

The park opens at 6 AM and closes at 11 PM daily, with two main entry points and parking areas available. Restrooms and drinking fountains are scattered throughout the grounds for visitor convenience.

A small zoo operates within the park grounds, and a pirate-themed playground sits just across near the shore. This combination of attractions appeals to visitors of all ages in one location.
