Rani Sipri's Mosque and Tomb, Islamic monument in Astodia, Ahmedabad, India.
The mosque and tomb complex measures 54 feet long by 24 feet wide, featuring minarets, domed roofs, and elaborate floral patterns on jali screens.
Queen Sipri, a Hindu ruler's daughter married to Sultan Mahmud Begada, commissioned this structure in 1514 following the execution of their son.
The structure incorporates Hindu architectural elements into Islamic design, including intricate carvings of lamp patterns and traditional plant motifs throughout the building.
The monument, located near Astodia Darwaza gate, opens daily from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM with no entrance fee for visitors.
The mosque contains a separate upstairs prayer area designated for women, known as Jenana, demonstrating early architectural considerations for gender-specific spaces.
