K.Gangavaram mandal

K.Gangavaram is an administrative division in Andhra Pradesh that covers a rural area encompassing multiple villages and settlements. The mandal functions as a local governance unit organizing public services and community affairs across its jurisdiction.

The administrative area was transferred in 2022 from East Godavari district to the newly created Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district. This change reorganized local governance structures in the region.

The mandal encompasses 24 distinct villages, each contributing to the local governance through active participation in village councils and community decision-making processes.

The area is typically most accessible during the dry season when roads and pathways are in better condition. Travel is easiest outside the monsoon months when movement is less restricted by weather conditions.

Several villages within the area, such as Vakatippa and Nagulacheruvu, remain uninhabited today, creating an unusual settlement pattern. These abandoned settlements create a quiet presence amid populated communities.
