Sree Madiyan Koolom Temple

Sree Madiyan Koolom Temple is a Hindu sanctuary in Kanhangad featuring multiple shrines, traditional wooden structures, and a temple pond within its grounds. The site also contains an ancient bronze lamp, which stands among its most notable elements.

The sanctuary emerged about 500 years ago and was one of the early sites in the region that welcomed people of all castes. This open stance was notable well before the formal temple entry proclamation in Kerala.
