Читалище „Еленка и Кирил Д. Аврамови“

The Elenka and Kiril D. Avramovi cultural center occupies a building designed by Austrian architect Paul Brang, featuring a grand theater hall in central Svishtov.

Founded on January 30, 1856, by four Bulgarian intellectuals, this institution marks the beginning of the community cultural center movement in Bulgaria.

The center houses multiple artistic groups, including the First Bulgarian Choir Yanko Mustakov and a children's art school offering piano, accordion, and ballet classes.

The theater hall maintains the largest seating capacity in Svishtov and serves as the primary venue for theatrical performances, concerts, and public events.

Kiril D. Avramov donated 200,000 gold leva in 1904 to construct the building, which features exceptional acoustic properties and distinctive interior architecture.
