Sex du Coeur

Sex du Coeur is a mountain summit in the Chablais Alps straddling the border between France and Switzerland. The peak stands above forested slopes and overlooks surrounding valleys and lakes of the region.

This summit has long marked the natural boundary between the two countries. Nearby passes and peaks were historically important crossing points for trade and travel between Alpine regions.

Local mountaineers and hikers frequent the trails around Sex du Coeur throughout the year, maintaining traditional Alpine hiking practices in the region.

Several hiking paths lead to the summit, with some connecting to the GR5 long-distance trail. The routes require standard hiking gear and reasonable fitness levels.

From the summit, visitors can see two distinct landscapes: the French valleys with their lakes and the Swiss Alpine scenery. This position makes it a special vantage point between two countries and regions.
