HSBC Building, Office skyscraper in Central and Western District, Hong Kong.

The HSBC Building reaches 178.7 meters with 47 floors above ground and features a glass facade with steel structural elements throughout its design.

Completed in 1985, the building replaced three previous HSBC structures on the same location, with the first dating back to 1865 known as Wardley House.

Two bronze lion statues, Stephen and Stitt, guard the building entrance and survived attempted destruction during World War II through local preservation efforts.

The structure contains 28 elevators and maintains regular banking hours from Monday through Friday, serving as the headquarters for HSBC Holdings operations.

The building incorporates a system that uses seawater for cooling and mirrors to direct natural sunlight through its interior spaces.
