LANDMARK, Skyscraper in Central District, Hong Kong.
The Landmark is a tall office and shopping building with 72 floors above ground and 6 below, constructed with glass and steel throughout. It serves as a mixed-use complex housing retail shops, corporate offices, and underground parking in one integrated structure.
Built between 2006 and 2013, it marked a turning point in modern construction methods for Hong Kong's financial district. The project introduced new architectural and engineering techniques that influenced later developments in the city.
The building brings together retail spaces, offices, and luxury shops in one location. This mix shows how such places shape daily commerce and business in Hong Kong's heart.
The building uses multiple elevator systems to move visitors and workers efficiently through its many levels. Finding your way around is straightforward thanks to clear signage and easy access to both ground and underground areas.
The building's foundation required special engineering solutions due to Hong Kong's geographic and soil conditions. Structural experts had to develop particular techniques to overcome these challenges and ensure the tower's stability.
