Tsuen Wan Public Library, Public library in Tsuen Wan District, Hong Kong
Tsuen Wan Public Library is a public library located inside the Tsuen Wan Government Offices building in the Tsuen Wan District of Hong Kong, spread across three floors. It offers reading rooms, study areas, and collections of books and digital resources for a wide range of visitors.
The library opened in 1993 after moving from a previous location at Wing Hong House. At the time of opening, it was the largest public library in Hong Kong.
The library holds a collection focused on the history of Tsuen Wan District that visitors can browse in person. For anyone curious about how this part of Hong Kong developed over time, it offers a rare local perspective.
The library is a short walk from Tsuen Wan MTR Station Exit A3, making it easy to reach without a car. Opening hours change depending on the day of the week, so it is worth checking in advance before visiting.
Between March and May, the library extends its hours until 10:00 PM to support students during examination season. This makes it one of the most used study spots in the district during those weeks.
