Tsuen Wan Environmental Resource Centre

The Tsuen Wan Environmental Resource Centre is located in a traditional house built with rammed earth, green bricks, and timber, featuring displays on environmental education. The spaces include a library, computer area, audiovisual facilities, and exhibition rooms dedicated to conservation and sustainable practices.

Scholar Yau Yuen-cheung built the house in the 19th century, representing the architectural heritage of an earlier Hakka mixed-lineage village. Its declaration as a monument honors the building's importance in local history.

The building displays traditional Chinese design through its entrance plaques and painted couplets that speak of harmony with nature. These elements tie the space to the values of the people who once lived here.
