Honghu Park is an urban green space in Shenzhen that features several connected ponds, walkways, and bridges throughout its grounds. The layout includes both water areas and landscaped sections that allow visitors to walk and explore at their own pace.

The park was created in 1984 when Shenzhen was expanding rapidly and the city needed more green spaces for residents. This addition was part of the larger transformation that turned Shenzhen into a major urban center.

The park functions as a meeting place where people exercise in the morning, walk along the paths, and connect with neighbors. Throughout the year, visitors gather for informal celebrations and community events at different spots.

Take Shenzhen Metro Line 7 to Honghu Station and leave by Exit D, about 100 metres from the park. Bus routes 23, 27, 206, 213, 300, 303, 312, 315 and 357 stop at Honghu Park Bus Stop. The park is bordered by Honghu West Road, Honghu East Road, Wenjin North Road, Sungang Bridge and Nigang Bridge.

The park maintains several varieties of lotus plants grown in specialized water sections that are part of ongoing conservation efforts. These plants draw visitors who come specifically to see them bloom during the growing season.
