Hon Kwok City Center, Postmodern skyscraper in Futian District, Shenzhen, China.
Hon Kwok City Center is an 80-story skyscraper standing 329 meters tall and making a striking presence in the Shenzhen skyline. The building houses office, residential, and hotel spaces covering roughly 164,000 square meters within a single integrated structure.
The project began in 2010 and was completed in 2017, during Shenzhen's transformation from a fishing village into a major metropolitan center. This tower reflects that rapid urban development and symbolizes the city's modernizing momentum.
The building blends Eastern and Western design principles throughout its mixed-use spaces. Visitors can sense this approach in the thoughtfully designed interiors and modern finishes.
The building is equipped with around 30 elevators to move visitors and workers through its various levels efficiently. This large number of lifts means that long waits for transportation typically do not occur.
The structure features distinct mezzanine levels that create an asymmetrical vertical composition. This uneven arrangement gives the tower a dynamic visual quality that sets it apart from standard rectangular high-rises.
