Shenzhen Center is a 376-meter postmodern tower with 80 stories above ground and a glass-and-steel facade that defines the skyline of Futian District. The building houses office spaces and connects directly to the subway network underneath, making it well-integrated into the urban transport system.
Construction of Shenzhen Center began in 2012 and was completed in 2021, making it the tallest tower of the Gemdale Gangxia complex, which also holds a second high-rise of 180 meters. The design is credited to Kohn Pedersen Fox, and the building stands on Jintian Road in Shenzhen, Guangdong.
The tower is also known as Dabaihui Plaza and Gemdale Gangxia Tower 1, names that reflect its place in the Gemdale Gangxia complex on Jintian Road. That complex includes a second high-rise of 180 metres, so the 376-metre tower stands as its tallest element.
The building is equipped with 39 elevators to move people efficiently between its many floors. Direct access to the metro station below makes it easy to reach by public transportation.
