Shenzhen Special Zone Press Tower, Postmodern architectural structure in Lianhua Subdistrict, Shenzhen, China.

The Shenzhen Special Zone Press Tower is a 42-story postmodern structure that rises 262 meters above ground, with 3 additional levels below. The building's distinctive form shapes the skyline of the Lianhua area and functions as the city's main media hub.

The tower was completed in 1998 during a period when Shenzhen shifted from a landscape of low-rise buildings to one filled with towering skyscrapers. Its construction marked the moment when the city began establishing itself as a modern media hub in southern China.

The tower houses the headquarters of the Shenzhen Press Group and reflects how media shaped the city's rapid transformation. It stands as a symbol of information flow that accompanied the region's growth from a small settlement into a major economic center.

The structure sits centrally in Futian's business district with good access to major transportation routes in the Lianhua area. Visitors should note that it functions as an active media headquarters, so access and visiting hours may depend on operational needs.

The tower shares the skyline with over 450 other structures of similar height in Shenzhen, making the city home to more high-rises than anywhere else on the planet. This concentration of tall buildings reflects an extraordinary urban transformation accomplished in just a few decades.
